Softball has shaped a large part of my life, not just as a sport, but as a way to teach values, build relationships, and create opportunities for young people. For more than 25 years, I’ve been involved in the game as a coach, tournament director, administrator and mentor, and I still feel the same excitement stepping onto a field today as I did when I started.
My journey has allowed me to work at every level of the game. From coaching youth and travel teams to serving as varsity coach at the high school level, I’ve always believed that development goes beyond wins and losses. One of the most rewarding chapters of my career was serving as the Head Softball Coach at Saint Mary-of-the-Woods College, where our teams earned three national championships. More importantly, we built a culture focused on accountability, trust, and preparing student-athletes for life after softball.
In addition to coaching, I’ve spent many years organizing and directing softball events throughout Indiana. As a former NSA State Director and now Director of USA Elite Select / USSSA Softball , I’ve had the privilege of hosting tournaments and college exposure events that help athletes take the next step in their journey. I understand how important organization, communication, and fairness are to families and coaches, and I take pride in running events that reflect those values.
At the heart of everything I do is a simple goal: to give back to the game that has given me so much. I want athletes to feel supported, challenged, and proud of their effort. I want coaches to know their teams are competing in well-run, respectful environments. And I want families to feel confident that their time and commitment are valued.
Softball is about more than competition — it’s about growth, character, and community. I’m grateful to continue serving the game and helping the next generation of athletes find their path, both on and off the field.
